friday food truck

Participating food trucks gather over at a nearby mall for festivities, they come every first Friday of the month and it was my first to go. I first felt squeamish with the idea since I have a weak stomach but I braved it and ordered a few specialties. We tried quesadillas, cheesy fries and some tapa, they were all good and it didn’t do me bad at all. So, I guess I’d be going every now and then. I am thinking that the weak stomach might just have been in my mind. 🙂

Today’s coffee: at home with my coffee milk tea, a good and just the exact mix of coffee and tea. Very nice and smooth.

I am feeling a little bit sentimental over my mom’s death, I could just recall how the pain felt when I learned about it. Today is the 11th anniversary and I just said a very simple and short prayer for her. Thanks Ma.

  1. Now this sounds really interesting, and all in one place? How does one choose? 🙂
I know just how you feel abut your Mom. It will be 11 years on the 11th of next month for me.

  2. We never stop missing our parents and I miss my younger brother as well. Not sure about eating at food trucks, but they are very popular here and near where we live in the winter too. I think Fort Myers has a food truck festival once in a while…maybe we’ll go this winter.

    • They are more expensive than where we usually have a quick grub when we’re in a hurry, but it was more for the fun though.

  3. Just go easy on any fried/greasy foods, if you’re new to it. 😉

I agree with LaVagabonde’s comment above. I miss my parents something fierce, and they’ve been gone 20 (dad) and 25 (mom) years. Just keep the good memories. Nothing else matters.

  4. Definitely a mind over matter thing! I love food trucks. A lot of them are specialties, you can’t go wrong with that. My most memorable order was a Veitnamese sandwich food truck.

    • I didn’t see a Vietnamese there, we ordered from the “Filippin” something truck, a tapa… and it was good. Will be looking out for that Vietnamese truck if ever they come over next month.
