Recent Incoming Mails

Hello, my dear friends! Today, I am gonna show you my recent incoming mails. I am so glad that they still keep coming even if I am not that very active on Instagram anymore. And I really appreciate it that they still remember me, I guess that’s how friends should be. I got four beautiful mail in the past week. And it would be shame if I didn’t blog about them. First to come is from Atikah in Malaysia. We’ve been friends for four and half years now, she’s one of the original pals ever since snail mail became popular on IG in 2013. We’ve sent to each other randomly until it became a regular correspondence. She always sends me pretty and unique paper stuffs. I’ve always treasured the goodies she’s been sending me because I can always feel the sincerity and the friendship in them. Now, look at that pretty paper napkin on the first photo. And oh my! those washi samplers? they’re just so adorable, very unique and not so accessible here in …

Incoming and outgoing mails for the month of August

Speaking of snail mail, August was a good month for me. I got many beautiful mails from all over the world. INCOMING And some others which I failed to post individually on Instagram —  on center is of a Korean painted houses, from my very best friend in Taiwan who went for a summer vacation in South Korea; the elephant card from Yiyi from France who went for a short trip in Thailand; and the map card when Shelley (who now lives in Australia), went home to visit her folks in UK. I am always thankful for friends who think of sending me postcards when they travel. Well, that’s what I usually do too. 🙂 OUTGOING Green mails because I wanted to take a break from the muted colors that I have made the past weeks. I wanted to try making this kind of mail because she loves kawaii themed stuffs. I hope this was kawaii enough for her. 🙂 Finally, I was able to send her a promised mail art. She’s one of the few …

Incoming and Outgoing Mails for the month of June

Hello everyone! First, I must apologize for the very long absence (again) here on WP. Life has taken over again and to top it all, I was having headaches every time I went online or read or wrote a letter and making art even. I thought I was having some eye problems that I needed to visit the eye doctor again. Long story short, all the eye examinations were normal and no eye grade changes since last year. Although everything were found to be normal, I was still bothered with headaches every morning, only to find out that the coffee I was drinking every day was way too strong for my system. I estimated it that one cup was equal to 7 cups, so, imagine myself putting all those caffeine in my body everyday for so many weeks and it got me worried because I was at a point when I would have shortness of breath and couldn’t sleep without layers of pillows on my back to support me. I was literally sleeping half upright. Lesson …

Incoming and Outgoing Mails for the Month of May

INCOMING This month, I got a handful of beautiful incoming mails, both from old and new friends. I am just so thankful for all the friendships that I’ve built over the years. And without further ado, here I post photos of them. I love it when long time postcrossing friends surprise me with postcards. It means a lot to know that they think of me. 🙂 How sweet, isn’t it? Talk about pen pals who reply to me as quick as the thunder, it’s them — Sara and Patty. Weren’t it just a few days ago when I only sent them mails? I haven’t even finished my long mail list and there they go to the list again. 🙂 I am just so happy that I have them as pen pals. I call this mail a random act of kindness from a new IG friend in Florida. I praised her for doing a great job on this handmade card and there she was in my messages asking for my mailing address so she can send it to …

From Japan with Love

This is by far one of my most favorite mail from March 2015. It came in while I was offline so I wasn’t able to post it on Instagram and on my blog but I did take the photos and this deserves to be posted even when it is quite late. I truly love everything that she’s put in. Kinda scary that she knows me already and what my likes are. And this is a printed card from her IG showing the 2014 Holiday card and paper cuts that I’ve sent her way. So sweet. Really. Thank you Pinky. ໒( ♥ ◡ ♥ )७.

Happy Mail from Malayisa

One of my Malaysian friends surprised me again with this wonderful mail. She is quite a creative girl in her own way and I always get excited when I receive a mail from her especially when I see so many interesting stamps on the envelope. This set of stamps are just perfect for my topical collections under flowers and post boxes. On left are postboxes of Melaka Bandaraya Bersejah & Bukit Bendera and on right is of Pulau Pinang Bunga Kertas & Bunga Allamanda. She also sent me postcards since she knows that I collect them. On left is of Chang-er, the goddess of the moon which according to Chinese folk lore became a goddess after drinking the elixir of life. Apparently as she’s written at the back of the card that there’s also a bunny on the moon to keep her company. Oh, I love bunnies. On right is an interesting postcard of a shop house otherwise known in Malaysia as “Georgetown” and is listed as one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites. She …

Happy Mail Days from My Hollandse Friends

So many things in life can bring me joy, snail mail friends is one of them and happy to be able to connect to these same minded people and because of them, October was a very happy mail month for me. I received so many pretty mails and found in them the most unexpected gifts. Here’s what I am talking about. Two different mails from two of my Holland friends. Dutch people just so you’ll know have a soft spot in my heart and they know why. This first mail is from Chanou in Utrecht. Now, you understand why these things make me so happy. This mail art, as you can see was made with so much care, love and thoughts of me. Just the kind of mail art that I honestly want to get so often and this is one of the few that I happen to just love. The stamps, the colors and the doodles — they are just perfect. Anybody who has been exchanging mails with me for a while now knows that …
